Meet Tamer, our COO – He’s Fueled by Food and Brands

Here at The Cloud, we’re big on tech and using “online” to empower kitchens, but behind every fast-scaling online venture are real, hard-working people, who make it all happen. Today, we’d like you to meet one of them – Tamer Al Ali, our Chief Operating Officer.

Like all of us, Tamer knows a thing or two about restaurants. He’s worked his way up from Captain at Lebanon’s famous Moulin D’Or to Area Manager for well-known brands like Pizzarro and Smoking Doll in the UAE.

He co-founded Manoushe Extra, a popular neighbourhood bakery, and scaled it to monthly revenues exceeding USD 100,000, and he led a team of 100 passionate employees at Soulfull Restaurant achieving USD 10 million GMV and winning the award for “Best Healthy Brand in the UAE”.

In 2018, he started Bok Bok Grilled Chicken – a leading virtual Lebanese and Peri-Peri Chicken restaurant, which is now one of The Cloud’s hero brands.

Tamer joined The Cloud in 2020 and is in charge of creating and overseeing our virtual delivery brands, handling global operations and on-boarding, and menu engineering and optimization.

His goal? To play his part in hyper fast scaling of The Cloud to reach all major global markets and to be the number 1 CAPEX and OPEX-free virtual brands operator.

Tamer value his relationships with quality people and wants to make sure his teams grow. He enjoys celebrating success with his teammates and believes there are no failures, only lessons that are great for The Cloud’s growth.
